About Us
LiCa Scientific is a growing company which has plans to expand in 2022. We have been in business since 2016 and in this time have developed into a regular supplier to global fine chemical and pharmaceutical companies. This gives us an excellent client base to build from. We are a company which has grown organically and in response to market demand, and we anticipate this will mean we require two further consultants in 2022.
Our objective as an organisation, and what we are all about, is to provide Great Chemistry Recruitment which is a broad area and we focus onto Analytical, Commercial, Formulation, Production and Synthesis. By being so focussed on one field, we operate without the added ‘noise’ of many other organisations. Our Strategy is clear, we know what we are going for from the market and understand our ‘how’ and employ smart strategies to achieve our objective. Therefore, on a day by day level, we are a successful, busy organisation that works with some of the worlds largest brands so we can offer a diverse set of challenges and projects.
We have a long-term plan for the organisation which while confidential, provides a framework for us, and allows us to operate in a really clear way which means decisions make sense and the whole team is bought into the overall direction of the company.
Culturally, we also have a strong sense of identity. Individual freedom is very important to me as the boss. LiCa is named after my daughters Libby and Catherine and I started the business to gain work:life balance when nowhere else provided it to the extent I felt as a working Dad I needed it, so I started somewhere that did. It became successful, it grew but never lost sight of what it’s all about.
Therefore, the team is accustomed to working either remotely or from the office and we have a very fluid work from home / work from the office situation. We are very into adopting the best technology in the field and then ensuring we take full advantage of the benefits that technology allows for our own work: life balance. I certainly work hard to make this a low-stress environment and like to think we are a low-stress organisation but know others are better qualified to answer on that.
This does not mean we are in any way taking an easy ride, our results speak for themselves we achieve an amazing amount. We just work smart while we’re doing it and appreciate as human beings there’s a better way and we all want to have a good time at work, be trusted, and achieve our potential.
My main discovery in this whole journey has been… happy teams achieve more.

I am not here past 4pm and like to do school runs as much as possible. This does not mean we are in any way taking an easy ride, our results speak for themselves we achieve an amazing amount.
