Lead synthetic chemist in a team designing, improving and analysing the multi-step synthesis of an API with South African collaborators. Reaction screening using high throughput experimentation (HTE) and parallel synthesis platforms such as an overhead sampling robot (OSR) for reductive amination. Awarded a 4-year fully funded PhD from a global chemical company to automate and quantify catalyst leaching in flow so the production costs of pharmaceuticals can be reduced.
Applied in-situ analytical and sampling methods for real time reaction monitoring.
Proficiency and competency in many analytical and statistical tools from DoE to LC-MS which were used to plan, conduct, analyse and interpret experiments and results.
