Our candidate is currently a Laboratory Manager in the Nutritional Chemistry department of a global analytical testing company. He leads a team of around 80 scientists and senior scientists, ensuring the smooth planning and running of the laboratory. He has good experience of quality, having worked his way through the company from Lab Technician to Lab Manager over the past 12 years.
His role includes quality and operational duties, including high level investigations and root cause analysis, regular reviews of laboratory procedures, weekly, monthly and annual planning of the department and managing analytical development and validation projects. The equipment used in this role includes ICP-OES, IC, GC and autotirators and our candidate has a great knowledge of these techniques. He has also carried out internal audits and facillitated external audits to completion.
He is looking to move to a Laboratory Management to Senior Leadership role nearby to his home in Peterborough, preferably within an hour of driving. He is available within 2 months to start.
